Jebsen & Jessen (Thailand ) Ltd. was awarded Thailand’s ‘Best Employer Brand Awards 2020’ at the 14th Employer Branding Award event hosted by the World HRD Congress earlier this year in Bangkok. The initiative by Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients Thailand and the subsequent award offer a glimpse into how much the Jebsen & Jessen family cares for and takes care of its people and employees.
‘Human Capital is our Greatest Asset’
Many organisations claim that Human Capital is their Greatest Asset. We at Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients do as well, but we don’t take this statement lightly – it’s not just a footnote in our 3-year strategic plan.
We continually prioritise and invest in our human capital and have successfully executed and delivered many initiatives that have benefitted our people for many years past and for many more years to come.
Prioritising and Investing in People Initiatives
Every year, we start off with a kick-off meeting which clearly communicates and aligns the Chairman, Regional Leadership Team, and Country direction and message to all employees.
We invest in our peoople by building up future leaders through our people development and talent development programs, i.e. talent projects, Regional Portfolio Manager (RPM) opportunities.
The Corporate Management Excellence Program (MEP) allows our management and future leaders to strengthen their skills and capabilities.
Annual regional meetings expose our employees to local and regional aspects, allowing them to collaborate with and learn from other colleagues throughout the region.
Keeping Our People Inspired and Engaged
Culture and employee engagement programs such as JJ Values, Fit for Fun, Fish for Fun, and the SPIRIT campaign allow employees to learn and have fun together.
The pedometer challenge, ergonomic workstations, a fitness allowance, annual physical check-ups, and influenza vaccines reflect that we care about and take care of our employees’ health and well-being.
We have a dedicated employee committee which plays a key role in communicating employee needs to the management team.
Our Employee Pulse Survey gives employees a voice and allows them to provide their feedback and suggestions for improvement.
These are just some of the people initiatives that we provide for our family of employees so that we can grow together in a healthy, fun and professional manner.
